Careleda Team Morning Tea – National Carers Week

Did you know that 1 in 8 Australian employees are in a caring role? (Carers Australia, 2019). Anyone at anytime can become a carer, and we all know someone who is in this important role.

This week is National Carers Week. National Carers Week is about recognising and celebrating the outstanding contribution unpaid carers make to our nation. Here at Careleda we have taken the time this week to acknowledge all of those who care for loved ones and others. Today we are celebrating those in our office who are in caring roles for loved ones with a special morning tea.

We know that being a carer isn’t an easy job. It’s often a full time job on its own which is full of personal sacrifice and little reprieve. Carers contribute so much to our nation, with the value of their caring role estimated at $60.3 billion per year, and yet carers often experience social isolation and find it harder to maintain employment, enter the workforce, or participate in education (Carers Australia, 2019). It is important to us at Careleda to acknowledge the difference carers all around our country make and recognise the challenges that they experience beyond the caring they do.

Thank you to all carers who make an emotional and physical improvement to those who need care. You are doing such a great job! From all of the team at Careleda, thank you for the trust you place in us with our seating. Our goal is so much more than making a difference in the lives of those who sit in the comfort of our care chairs and recliners. We are so passionate about making a real difference for our carers too.

If there is anything we can be of assistance with for you or your facility, please don’t hesitate to contact our team on 1800 044 012.
